GM reported March sales of America’s sports car set its best mark in three months with 955 Corvettes delivered. That mark is 331 more than February and 101 more than January. We’re glad to see the figure moving upwards but calendar year to date sales (Jan-Mar) are still -20% down from the same time period a year ago.
One area I am concerned about is the rising inventory of 2010 Corvettes. Last month at this time, we saw 2,389 Corvettes available and as of today, there are 3,590 2010’s available. If this trend continues, you can bet we’ll see the Bowling Green Assembly Plant go idle for several weeks until supply matches demand. In addition to total production, the ZR1 is more available then ever before with a total 374 sitting in dealer’s showrooms.

you would sell more corvettes if dealer had more incentives and weren’t so greedy. I want to buy a new 2011 vette, but the dealers don’t want to deal. I guessI will just wait until so nice deals come down the pipe, then put in for a special order
