Fourth-place finish in team’s 25th race on Monterey Peninsula

MONTEREY, Calif. (May 14, 2023) – Corvette Racing’s 25th start at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca didn’t end the way the team had hoped as the No. 3 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C8.R finished fourth in GTD PRO in Sunday’s MOTUL Course de Monterey.

It’s hard to believe that we are saying goodbye at the end of the season to Corvette Racing’s C8.R. The 5.5L GTLM racing machine will drive off into the sunset at the end of this season and will join all the different Corvette Racing racecars from the C5-R to the C7.R that retired previously.

But there’s a new Corvette racer that’s well underway in its development. The new Z06 GT3.R will be hitting the racing grids around the world as a privateer in 2024 with full support from Chevrolet and Corvette Racing.
