Our friends at ACS Composite own and drive C8 Corvettes, and that gives them unique insights into the minds of Corvette enthusiasts and what they want to see on the car. For Joseph of ACS, it also provides the opportunity to improve on select elements of the sportscar that GM may have missed during its conception.
One of his biggest pet peeves has been the unfinished, uncoated e-Brake caliper sitting behind the rear wheels. Chevrolet offers a very nice base color for your brake calipers, or you can even upgrade to one of the five OEM factory colors for a bit more ($795). Meanwhile, that rear e-brake caliper doesn’t get any attention from the factory and once you notice that it’s a sight that can’t be unseen. Now, it’s standing out for all the wrong reasons.
So ACS Composite decided to do something about it.
These C8 Stingray E-Brake Caliper Covers (a version for Grand Sport, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1 are coming soon) fixes the unfinished e-brake caliper with a stamped metal cover that locks onto the factory caliper for a fitted, OEM-inspired appearance. No painting is required and depending on your wheels, you may not even have to remove them to add these new covers to the e-brake calipers.
The patent-pending e-brake cover design features a stamped metal overlay which follows the shape and appearance of the factory e-brake caliper. Install is as easy as holding it down over the caliper until the cover clip-locks into place. It can be removed with a small pry-tool which makes it a simple yet reversable upgrade.
The attention to detail is once again on par for ACS Composite. The e-brake cover contains specific cutouts where the e-brake’s bolts and pins show through, and when mounted on the car, it looks like that hardware is what’s holding the cover instead of the clip-locks.
The ACS C8 Stingray E-Brake Caliper Covers are packaged as pair and are available in all the specific caliper brake colors that Chevy have used on the C8 Corvette, and you can also go with a factory exterior color as well.
Pricing for the ACS C8 Stingray E-Brake Caliper Covers are $219 for the pair and the Stingray versions are available now. You can pre-order e-Brake Calipers for the C8 ZR1 Z06 E-Ray Grand Sport and they are expected to ship later this summer.
ACS Composite is also offering one of their special Carbon Flash Metallic paint pens for your e-brake caliper bolts which puts the finishing touch on your caliper cover install. Not only that, but the pen can be used to touch up the silver rings found on the inside the lug nut holes on Chevy’s black wheels. Joseph shows how to prep and then paint these surfaces so that when complete, all these little issues have been taken care of. At the end of the video, all these small upgrades do add up and we can see the finished results on the ACS Sebring Orange Stingray.

Pricey, but you simply cannot have enough Edge Yellow bits. So….worth it.
Wow man having a black e-brake cover on your Corvette. Like that’s a big problem lolol.
But it takes hella long to ship.
