Was it worth the danger to the suspect, the troopers, and the innocent public?
A viral dash-cam video captures a heart-stopping pursuit as a C5 Corvette squares off against Arkansas State Police. Speeds top 120 mph, traffic is narrowly dodged, and the chase concludes in a dramatic crash that leaves the driver in handcuffs.
On the night of August 22, 2025, at approximately 9:33 p.m., troopers spotted a gray C5 Corvette speeding eastbound on Interstate 630 near Fair Park Boulevard. Radar clocked the Vette at 92 mph in a 60-mph zone. When the officer activated lights and siren, the driver refused to stop and accelerated into a dangerous game of cat and mouse at speeds exceeding 90 mph.
Exiting the freeway, the Corvette darted through tight commercial and residential roads. Dash-cam footage from several cars shows the action:
- A cruiser closing in at the three-minute mark; the Corvette blasts through a red light and nearly clips another vehicle
- Police weaving through intersections, chasing at full throttle
- Around five minutes in, the Corvette accelerates head-on into oncoming traffic, forcing motorists to swerve out of its path with the trooper right behind.
At roughly six minutes, the Corvette crests a downhill left-hand bend and the rear end breaks loose. The driver slams the brakes; the Vette spins into the median and vaults over a concrete divider in a burst of steam and smoke. It comes to rest close to the sidewalk, where troopers immediately move in to arrest the driver.

Paramedics transported the suspect to Baptist Health Medical Center for evaluation. Upon release, the driver was booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility on multiple charges, including felony fleeing in a vehicle, speeding more than 15 mph over the limit, running a red light, improper window tinting, failing to transfer his driver’s license and vehicle registration to Arkansas, and improper display of license tags.
We ask again, was it worth the danger?

Absolutely not worth the danger! This idiot is just another one in a long line of damn dumbasses who could care less about the troopers lives and all the innocent peoples lives they put in danger while running from the police. He needs to be locked up for good so he can never do it again.
“Was it worth the danger” is the wrong question. Villains who exhibit this level of disregard for other humans, simply to avoid a traffic ticket, are capable of far greater evil. The proper question to ask is whether it was worth a vehicle pursuit of this duration and magnitude–the answer is no. The moment the suspect began to operate his vehicle in a deadly manner, he should have been immediately neutralized, to include use of deadly force.
No doubt most cops get a thrill from “the chase”, but it is over the top crazy to do those chases, especially when they already have a vehicle description and license plate number, have radios, stop sticks, helicopters sometimes, etc. Just too damned dangerous for the officers and innocent bystanders, so please stop it, even if an escaped convict is fleeing.
@Chazoo Yup, just open fire on the SOB, from a helicopter if necessary (yes, there’s legal precedent). Dirt nap a couple of these villains and it’ll get the message across pretty effectively.
I don’t understand these people who just don’t pull over. Take the 92 mph ticket in the 60 zone. I got pulled over once for 91 in a 55 zone. Went to court and paid the fine. Before everyone thinks that was super dangerous, it was in Nevada on a road that use to have no speed limit in the old days. The next day, I went 55 mph, and got passed by literally everyone, including a semi pulling a trailer with a wide load escort pickup truck with flashing yellow light. That was almost as bad as the ticket.
Bottom line. Pull over. Be polite.
