Hello Corvette fans and welcome to the dawn of a brand-new week full of adventures and opportunities. We just rolled back in from an excellent weekend at the 2025 Bloomington Gold Corvette show.
This year marked the show’s move to World Wide Technology Speedway in Madison, IL – just across the river from St. Louis. The new location offered all the same events we’ve come to love over the last 50+ years while adding the chance to get out and challenge the 1.25-mile oval track.
Corvettes built between 1963 and 1967 are always plentiful at Bloomington Gold. We’d estimate that almost half of the cars chasing a Gold Certificate were Midyears. Like all Bloomington events, this show brings out the top dog C2’s like a 1963 Z06, multiple fuelies, and myriads of big blocks. We also noted a number of well-preserved Corvettes going for Survivor and Benchmark honors.
We’ll have much more from Bloomington Gold soon so keep an eye here on CorvetteBlogger over the coming days. In the meantime, indulge yourself in our gallery of Midyear Corvettes in Illinois last weekend.
