Our friend Jeff from Zipity’s Garage and Ciocca Corvettes of Atlantic City has a cool video for us this weekend and I saved it to run today on Memorial Day as a tribute to the men and women in our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
In this video, Jeff and his fellow members from The Original Garden State Corvette Club in southern New Jersey make the drive to Vineland, New Jersey and the site of New Jersey’s only assisted living facility dedicated for veterans. Club members will be cooking lunch for the residents and then they take those veterans who are up for it on a spirited joy ride around the facility.

Year Number Two for this event. My local Corvette Club visits the Vineland Memorial Veterans Home and we take our Veterans for rides in our Corvettes. The Original Garden State Corvette Club members road trip to the home, we cook lunch, engage with the Veterans and offer up some spirited joy rides for our Veterans. Plus we talk the Director of the Life Enrichment Department on how everyone can get involved.

Glad they could get the Vets in and out of the Vets,I’m 80 and getting in and out of my HTC Z51 takes some time now days.
Loved the ride along of the joy ride in the 66. That was fun! I’ve never had the pleasure of driving or riding or even sitting in a C2 and I probably never will.
