One of the all-time great Corvette events is back for its 54th year. The 2025 Black Hills Corvette Classic is set for July 16th through July 19th. Registration is open so grab your spot now. The 4-day driving event draws enthusiasts from throughout the United States and Canada to share their passion for Corvette and navigate some of the most beautiful and challenging roads in the country.
The Black Hills Corvette Classic was started in 1971 by the Sioux Falls Corvette Club and today it’s one of the longest-running Corvette events in the country. They continue to operate the event each year with help from the Spearfish Holiday Inn and Convention Center plus several generous sponsors.
The Black Hills Corvette Classic includes a 400-mile caravan, guided tours and poker runs, 3 car shows, and 2 racing competitions. There’s also vendors, fireworks, and giveaways. Festivities begin on Wednesday July 16th with the Welcome Event at Jerry’s Chevrolet & Corvette Center in Beresford, South Dakota. Later, patrons will head over to the WH Lyons Fairgrounds for Hot Summer Nites in Sioux Falls. On Thursday morning, attendees will set out on the 400-mile caravan to Spearfish, SD for the remaining events.
The trip to Spearfish includes a stop at Al’s Oasis for brunch in Chamberlain, SD. Numerous sightseeing opportunities are available along the way including: The Corn Palace, Pioneer Auto Museum, Wall Drug, The Minuteman Misle National Historic Site, Prairie Dog Town, 1880 town, and the Badlands.
Several guided tours and poker runs will take drivers through some of the most scenic roads in the country and visit many beautiful sites in the Black Hills of South Dakota such as Spearfish Canyon, Vanocker Canyon, Deadwood, Sturgis, Lead, Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial, and Devils Tower. Be sure not to miss Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road with its 314 curves, 14 switchbacks, 3 pigtails, 3 tunnels, 2 splits and 4 Presidents over the course of 17 miles of road. Prizes will be awarded to those who triumph in the Poker Run.
If you get tired of driving, hit up the 3 cars show along the way. The first event is the Welcome Event at Jerry’s Chevrolet and Corvette Center which is followed by Hot Summer Nites in Sioux Falls. Vette Street USA in Spearfish completes the car show trifecta. At each event entrants will be competing for the Top 10 best of show awards.
If you’ve got a need for speed, sign up for the Quick 60 Sioux Falls and Autocross Spearfish for a chance at awards and cash prizes.
If that’s not enough, there will be 2 diamond and Black Hills gold giveaways, on-site food, entertainment, a fireworks show plus multiple vendors selling Black Hills Corvette Classic items and more.
As you can see, the Black Hills Corvette Classic is 4 days of non-stop Corvette action with hundreds of your closest friends. Registration is open now so get yourself signed up as soon as possible.
