1969 Corvette 427/390 HP

1969 Corvette

The 1969 Corvette is one of those model years loved by Corvette enthusiasts, as it fixed many of the shortcomings from the previous 1968 model. Now into the second year of the C3 body style, it marked the return of the Stingray name. The 1969 Corvette arrived at the perfect time as horsepower was readily available before many of the performance-crushing emission standards and the focus on fuel economy that would mark the 1970s. Buyers had the choice between the new small block 350 V8 or placing an order for one of the optional 427 big block V8s, which were now in their final year of availability.

Now for sale on Bring a Trailer through Monday, April 8 at 2:10 pm ET is this 1969 Corvette Convertible powered by a 427/390-hp L36 V8 engine and coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The Monza Red exterior is a classic finish for the C3 Stingray and the pairing with the Black vinyl interior offers an unbeatable combination with the bright 15-inch Rally wheels covered in BF Goodrich rubber. The car is offered on consignment and is located in Colorado.

The L36 427/390-hp V8 featured a four-barrel carburetor and it was the most popular big block V8 offered that year. This is a matching numbers car, and the bright chrome valve covers, and round air cleaner really shine when the hood is raised. The car was optioned with a Positraction limited-slip differential, four-wheel disc brakes and includes two tops, a heater, and an AM/FM stereo. There are 55,381 miles showing on the odometer.

1956 Corvette 265/240 hp

1956 Corvette 265/240 hp

While the first Corvette was famously offered in 1953, it was the 1956 model where things started turning around for the American sportscar, despite the fact that only 700 Corvettes were built the year prior. The 1956 Corvette received a significant styling update with the iconic side coves, and they were offered in contrasting colors. The rearend was restyled to route the exhaust through the back of each rear fender. And perhaps the most user-centric update was the debut of roll-up windows and the availability of a power convertible soft top.

This 1956 Corvette offered at Corvette Mike’s Anaheim showroom is offered in Aztec Copper with Beige Coves, a Beige interior, and a Beige convertible top. The Corvette is equipped with the very rare 240/265-hp V8 engine with dual-quad carburetors and it features the “Duntov” cam. It’s believed to be 1 of just 111 examples built with the rare RPO 449 created by Zora Arkus-Duntov. Other options include a 3-speed close ratio manual transmission, power windows, power convertible soft top and a Wonder Bar radio.

Noted Corvette aficionado Todd Spain performed an extensive frame-off restoration and it has both a Bloomington Gold certification and a NCRS Top Flight Award. Other documentation includes documentation of the restoration, past owner history, and a letter from Twin Oaks Classic Corvette stating that they believe the engine is original. (please note: Corvette Mike makes no guarantees to the engine’s originality). For more information about this highly-collectible 1956 Corvette, contact Corvette Mike.

1988 Corvette with 31K Miles

1988 Corvette

This 1988 Corvette Coupe has been well cared for over the course of its life, and the odometer shows only 31,000 miles. Corvette Mike calls this Dark Red Metallic 1988 Corvette one of the nicest they’ve had in quite some time, and it’s a known car to them. Corvette Mike sold the car to its previous owner 10 years ago and now it’s back in the Anaheim showroom waiting for her next caretaker. Other than the rear wing and an upgraded Alpine audio system, this C4 is a great representation of America’s Favorite Sports Car from the mid-to-late 1980s.

1988 Corvette

While the base 1988s offered 240 horsepower, this 1988 Corvette is equipped with the optional 350/245-hp V8 featuring the 4+3 manual transmission which offered a 3:07:1 axle ratio and less restrictive exhaust mufflers. It was also optioned with the popular Z52 Sport Handling Package and includes six-way power seats for both the driver and passenger, leather sport seats, dual removable roof panels, electronic air conditioning and more.

This 1988 Corvette Coupe represented the pinnacle of performance at the time it was originally offered. Today, this is a very fun car to drive, especially with the manual transmission, and the AC blows cold to keep you comfortable while you’re on your driving adventures. Documentation includes all the books, manuals, factory docs, a spare key, and the window sticker.
