The 2024 E-Ray is the Corvette that be driven all year round thanks to its intelligent eAWD system that applies additional power to the front wheels, enhancing vehicle stability. The 160-hp front drive motor receives its power from a 1.9 kWh lithium‑ion battery located between the seats, but don’t worry about having to plug it into a charger. The battery is self‑charging through regenerative energy from coasting and braking.

With a combined 655 horsepower from both the electric motor and small block V8, the other benefit of the eAWD system is that it puts that power down to all four wheels at once. That makes the Corvette E-Ray the quickest production Corvette in history, running 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.5 seconds and breezing through the Quarter Mile in 10.5 seconds.

The E-Ray has one other amazing trick in its arsenal, and that’s the ability to start up and drive at up to 45 mph in Stealth Mode, using just the energy from the battery. Chevy says its good for a quiet neighborhood exit or when you don’t want to wake up everyone in the house on start-up.
