[VIDEO] Six 2023 Corvette Z06s Arrive at Rick Hendrick's City Chevrolet

This was a great way to end the week for Chevrolet dealer and NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick who had a small fleet of the new 2023 Corvette Z06s arrive via transporter at City Chevrolet in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thanks to our friend Rick Accurso and those at City Chevrolet for supplying us with these photos to share.

The big event started in Bowling Green, KY, at the Corvette Assembly Plant on Thursday as the first customer-ordered Corvette Z06s were loaded onto a Hendrick Motorsports auto transporter. From there, the truck returned to Charlotte, arriving at City Chevrolet bright and early on Friday morning. The first Corvette to come off the auto transporter was the VIN 002 2023 Corvette Z06 with the 70th Anniversary Package:

And then the 70th Anniversary Z06 VIN 001 was rolled off the auto transporter:

After the VIN 003 Corvette Z06 came off the truck, the Black with Red interior VIN 001 Corvette Z06 Coupe with the Z07 performance package was also backed off the trailer.

With all six new Corvettes unloaded, the dealership played with the cars by staging them in different configurations for the photos below. Once the Corvettes were moved inside, we understand that Mr. Hendrick came by to check them all out and even took the VIN 002 70th Z06 for a drive around the facility.

Check out the beautiful shots of these 2023 Z06 Corvettes fresh off the Hendrick Motorsports hauler! The Facebook post from City Chevrolet lists the cars as VIN #001, 002, 003, 016, 9390, and 70th Anniversary VIN #001.

  1. So does this mean that there are a total of four 2023 C8s with a VIN#001 — the first 2023 Stingray, the first 70th Anniversary 2023 Stingray, the first 2023 Z06 and the first 70th Anniversary 2023 Z06?

  2. If so, aren’t we getting a little carried away with these multiple concurrent series of VIN numbers? If not, then we might as well give convertibles separate VINs from coupes and Z07-equipped Z06s separate VINs from non-Z07-equipped Z06s too! 🙄

  3. That is correct, but there were also the VIN 001 CTF Stingray and Z06 VINS that will generally end up back at a Chevrolet dealer as a preowned vehicle once their testing time at GM has come to a close.

  4. Hendrick really scored getting two VIN 001 Z06’s. Hey, he REALLY scored getting 6 Z06’s while other dealers are just dreaming of them.

  5. I live in Charlotte and I didn’t know this. I’m going to the dealership as soon as I can to see these bad boys in person hopefully before they’re gone. There’s no way I can afford any of them but I can still drool over them. The black ones especially look badass!

  6. All of are getting ready to go to Rick Hendrick’s car museum in Concord. More for me and none for thee.

  7. Other than the Corvettes, looks like Hendrick is anxiously awaiting inventory, as all the other Chevy dealers are. I drove past a huge parking lot along the highway two days ago that was filled to the brim with Ford pick ups, awaiting chips. 100’s of them just sitting there. We need to do something about this. Shouldn’t be dependent on foreign countries to supply people with the goods they need and want. Just a thought.

  8. I drove by a giant Lexus dealer and there were some cars around the perimeter but most of the lot was empty.

  9. Doug, if you look a little closer at the VIN number of the convertible, it ends in 3, so even though it’s the first convertible, it is not VIN # 1

  10. Glad to see them finally in the hands of there owner. I looked at them everyday for a little while in the paint shop.
