The Z06 model first came to stardom with the 1963 Corvette and then picks up again in 2001 when the model was reintroduced as a C5 model. For the C6 model, Chevy increased displacement to 7 liters, and in the C7 era, they supercharged it. So it’s not that much of a shocker that engineers would push the envelope once again to create the motor for the all-new 2023 Corvette Z06, which features a DOHC LT6 flat-plane crank V8 engine that makes 670-hp and revs to 8600 RPM.
