These were the first special editions of the C8 era with just 1,000 built and Chevy sold all of them in record time.

This 2022 Corvette IMSA Championship C8.R Edition is a Convertible offered in the #4 livery of Hypersonic Gray with the Strike Yellow/Sky Cool Gray interior. Like all C8s, the Corvette C8.R Edition is powered by the 495-hp LT2 V8 engine and it comes with the Z51 Performance Package which also adds the Z51 suspension, brakes, and the NPP Performance Exhaust. The Z51 also includes the summer-only Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires while the gearbox is optimized for faster shifting to help the Corvette go 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds!


Every C8.R Edition comes with the 3LT trim package featuring the Strike Yellow/Sky Cool Gray interior, GT2 seats with Napa Leather and Carbon Fiber trim, as well as the Bose 14-speaker Premium sound system, Performance Data Recorder, Head-Up Display, and all the safety features available. Additional package options include the High Wing spoiler in Carbon Flash Metallic, Yellow brake calipers, and Black Trident Wheels. The Special Edition also comes with a custom-fitted indoor car cover rendered to the appearance of the No. 4 Corvette C8.R race car!
