During last week’s meeting of the NCM Ambassadors, we showed these photos of the first 2018 Corvette that was painted entirely in the new paint shop. In fact, there is a nice walk-around video of the Arctic White Corvette Z06 that allows you to check out the different panels.
What this 2018 Corvette also has are Michelin snow tires installed at the factory.
That same car was being driven to Michigan the following day. As the weather in Michigan can change quickly this time of year, the Z06 was fitted with Michelin’s Alpin PA4 winter tires.

It was explained that the tires are not a new factory option, but that representatives at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant are helping Michelin with the testing of the all-weather tires. As the cars are driven year round, the winter tires are really a safety requirement during cold weather driving.

The Michelin Alpin PA4 tires on the widebody Z06 are sized 335/25R20 in the rear. We did a quick search online and the wider rear tires do show up at Tire Rack and on Michelin’s website, but there is no availability that we can find at this time. We reached out to Michelin who told us the tires are available, but supply is low due to current demand.
We know many who would drive their Corvettes through all seasons if they could and it if you decide to do so, Michelin’s Alpin PA4 tires are now a great option for Corvette Z06 and Grand Sport owners.

Chevrolet needs to pick tire sizes that have more tire options. Spend more time tuning the suspension and you can go with a little smaller tire.
