Lottery Ticket Nets a Virginia Man a New Corvette and $100,000 Cash

“I couldn’t believe it. It still feels a little unreal.”

That was the reaction of a South Chesterfield, Virginia man after he scratched off a Corvette and Ca$h ticket to reveal that he had won a new Corvette Stingray plus $100,000.

Damian Young beat the overwhelming odds of one in 1,387,200 to claim the top prize in a Virginia Lottery scratch ticket.

He told WWBT NBC12-TV that he held onto the ticket for three weeks before claiming the prizes. Could you have waited that long knowing a C7 Corvette was waiting on you?

“I kept the ticket real close to me,” he laughed. “Extra close!”

Young bought the winning ticket at the Corner Mart Sunoco in the 2400 block of West Hundred Road in Chester and says he plans to take some time off from his job as a barber to enjoy his slick, new ride.
