[VIDEO] Corvette Racing's CrossFit Challenge

Corvette Racing has always prided themselves on the execution of pit stops but this year it seems as though the team has been able to turn up the intensity to 11. We saw from the first race at Daytona how the team routinely pitted in 3rd or 4th position and came out first.

Corvette Racing’s program manager Doug Fehan says that there is nothing more demoralizing to a team then getting beat in the pits as it’s a controllable human factor (he adds that they plan to keep demoralizing their opponents as much as possible). While a major part of their success comes from videotaping and analyzing their daily practice sessions held in a simulated pit box behind their shop, this year the team has also focused on improving their physical fitness.

This afternoon Corvette Racing released a new video on Team Chevy’s facebook page that takes a closer look at how their CrossFit training is paying dividends in the pits.

The team is currently in France and will be through the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But just because they are away from their home gym doesn’t mean they are going to lose their edge. Check out this instagram post from Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin earlier today:
