Corvettes on Craigslist: 1991 Corvette Testarossa

If you’ve always wanted a Ferrari Testarossa and just couldn’t afford it, this might be the next best thing.

We just found a Craigslist offering in the Treasure Island, Florida area for a 1991 Corvette Testarossa for just $17,000.

The car is basically a 1991 Corvette with a Ferrari Testarossa body kit added, making it a “head turner,” according to the owner. We like the red interior, but we’re not too sure overall about the body, especially the taillight treatment that is reminiscent of a Firebird to us.

If you’re into this kind of car, this looks like a nice one.

The seller says the car has always been kept indoors or covered and he just spent $5,000 having everything checked out or restored to new at Specialty Corvette shop after coming out of storage.

Now he claims it “runs perfect” and “needs nothing.”

The work includes a new air conditioner and dash cluster, two nice things to have out of the way when getting an old Corvette ready for action. Also, the gas tank has been drained and cleaned, and new injectors and fuel pump have been installed.

Photos show a like-new red leather interior, and once behind the wheel, you can play with a high-end Pioneer receiver and 300-watt amp, with matching speakers and satellite radio.

“So as you can see I have spared no expense,” the seller says, “and this car is ready for daily driving if wanted.”

Interestingly, the owner says he’s willing to trade up or down for a full size work van, “but must be nice.”
