Corvette Racing's C6.R Chassis No.005 For Sale

Here’s your opportunity to own a piece of Corvette Racing history and have some fun, too.

The fifth Corvette C6.R chassis built by Pratt & Miller for Corvette Racing in 2007 is up for sale and comes with a rich pedigree in the racing world.

During the 2007 ALMS season, this Corvette never finished lower than second place in the GT1 class. Raced by regular drivers Jan Magnussen and Johnny O’Connell while Ron Fellows pitched in for the endurance races, the #005 Corvette C6.R would score a 2nd place finish in class at the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Following the 2007 season, Mrs. Pratt ordered the garage cleaned out and the #005 C6.R chassis was sold to Phoenix Carsport Racing where is was campaigned extensively in Europe.

From 2010-2014 the C6.R saw limited action and its last race appearance was the 2016 24 Hours of Dubai.

Potential buyers could use this GT racing car in a number of ways, including professional racing as well as club racing in SCCA or NASA, along with vintage racing in groups like HSR or SVRA or car club events, track day events, and private motorsport clubs.

The seller says Chassis #005 is in “excellent” condition and calls it an “an important piece of Corvette Racing history,” noting that the car can be returned to its original paint and graphics if the new owner so desires.
