[VIDEO] Watch a Corvette Stingray Get Dragged Away by a Pickup Over Bad Parking

Here’s a video that is sure to generate a few responses!

Without any context other than the Corvette was parked badly (the video contains a slightly more colorful NSFW description), all we see is a pickup truck pulling this Corvette Stingray with a tow strap. The Corvette’s rear wheels are locked and the sound of the Michelin’s scraping across the pavement is painful to watch and hear.

The Corvette’s owner was apparently found guilty of bad parking and the car had to be removed. Had that been one of our cars, we would have been mighty upset by how it manhandled across the pavement. However, I would also think that if that was one of our cars, it wouldn’t have been parked in such a way that would have made its removal necessary.

The video was uploaded to Facebook and after reading many comments, I think we found someone that has some specific details about why the Corvette was moved:

The C7 (not a Z06) was parked on private property blocking access to busses, a boat launch where a crane was setting them in the world water, news crew, ambulance & about 1,000+ people. They announced for the owner to move it but he parked and jumped on a boat. Two cops were there. The truck everyone is talking s**t about, is only onsite to move the boats to the water. No damage was done either way and the owner of the vette didn’t do s**t Bc he was in the wrong and wanted invited back next year. This was all during the Texas Outlaw Challenge…ok continue FB Warriors.

Ha! Take that “Facebook warriors”. Don’t start none…won’t be none.

So does hearing that explanation help understand why the Corvette was moved in such a fashion? Not for us. Sure the driver may have parked like an idiot but that doesn’t condone dragging his sports car across the pavement. Is it too much to ask for a professional towing company to remove the offending vehicle (and pass the charges on to the driver)?

Then again, not all professional tow truck operators can competently move a Corvette.
