35th Annual Corvette Homecoming Show Opens Tomorrow in Bowling Green

The new and improved Corvette Homecoming and Chevy Invitational is coming to the Sloan Convention Center this Thursday-Saturday (July 14-16) in Bowling Green, KY. The show’s longtime organizer and Bowling Green native Joe Pruitt has been working hard to revamp the show to bring a new level of interest among Corvette and Chevrolet owners.

“We want to bring more life into the show—while we love our Corvettes and celebrating their heritage in Bowling Green, we also believe Chevrolet owners are interested in bringing their show cars to our city,” Pruitt said.

Attendees of the Corvette Homecoming & Chevy Invitational will be able to show off their cars, attend special educational seminars and participate in a road tour of Kentucky. On Saturday evening, the annual dinner and dance will be held for registered participants. Corvette vendors will also be on-hand to show their wares and answer questions from Corvette ownwers.

One of the new events this year is the Muscle and Classic Car Auction on Saturday, July 16th beginning at 11 am Central Time. Vette City Classic Auctions will be handling the gavel duties and you can preview some of the Corvettes and other consigments online.

Another new addition is a Friday night concert at the Sloan Center with Bowling Green native Johnnie Mikel and his band.

The 2016 Grand Marshall of the Corvette Homecoming & Chevy Invitational is Guy Larson of the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show. Nice to see everybody working to make each other’s shows a success!!

Online registration has closed for the event but you can register at the show. Recognizing that not everyone can get away for the weekday events, Corvette Homecoming now has a Saturday only price for just $25.00 with $5.00 of that going to “Cruisin’ for a Cure”, which is a local group working to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research.
