Corvette Racing at Le Mans: 24 Hours of In-Car and Garage Streaming

Watch and ride along with both Corvette C7.R teams at Le Mans on FOX Sports GO

LE MANS, France (June 17, 2016) – It’s time again for Corvette Racing to tackle the 24 Hours of Le Mans in search of a ninth class victory. That also means Corvette fans throughout the United States can follow every lap, driver change and much more as FOX Sports GO will stream multiple Corvette Racing video feeds from the famous French endurance classic.

As in years past, Corvette Racing followers in the U.S. can watch in-car cameras for both the No. 63 and No. 64 Konica Minolta/Mobil 1/Sirius XM Chevrolet Corvette C7.Rs. In addition, a garage camera will capture pit stops throughout the race.

This year’s Le Mans will see Corvette Racing attempt to win at Le Mans for the second straight year in GTE Pro. The team also has won the last five Triple Crown endurance events, having won the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring the last two years, in addition to Le Mans in 2015. At this year’s 24 Hours, Corvette Racing will be up against other of the world’s top production-based manufacturer teams, including many it races throughout North America in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

“We are pleased to partner with FOX Sports for another year of live streaming Corvette Racing action from Le Mans,” said Jeff Chew, Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Operations for Chevrolet Racing. “This ranks as one of the most popular activities we do among our Corvette owners and fans. There will be plenty for them to watch as Corvette Racing races for a second consecutive Le Mans win and ninth in our history.”

Antonio Garcia, Jan Magnussen and Ricky Taylor will drive the No. 63 Corvette C7.R while defending GTE Pro champions Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Jordan Taylor partner in the No. 64 Corvette. Garcia was the fastest driver in class at the annual Test Day on June 5. With eight class victories at Le Mans since 2001, Corvette Racing and Chevrolet rank among the most successful teams and manufacturers to compete at Le Mans in the modern era.

  1. Hey Doug Fehan….what happend to you “best GT team in the world” at the 2016 LeMans?….hmmm?….BoP really sucks huh Dougie?….well now you know what the Risi Ferrari has had to contend with this year or your precious Vettez would NOT have won Daytona nor Sebring. The facts are the rest of the GTLM grid is hampered by lower performance than your damned Vettes. When the BoP is equaled out like what we kind of saw at LeMans, your Vettes were looking a little a little old and obsolete. I will have to say what Ford did was truly disgraceful, in their way they sandbagged all races in IMSA and in the WEC leading up to LeMans. Ford geared down their cars so that even at full throttle they weren’t showing a good pace, the Ford team sacrificed those races just to get a favorable BoP for LeMans which was their sole reason in building the GT’s. To find another 5 seconds pace after test day is all the proof needed. Then when they threatened Risi with an ultimatum with a protest of their leader lights not working all because they wanted that 1–2-3 finish like they got in 1966. Too bad that lone #82 Risi Ferrari beat 3 of the 4 GT’s to piss on their parade. It took full on ground up race cars to beat one race modified Ferrari road car. Ford acted with total and complete disgrace and brought shame upon themselves for not adhering to the “Spirit of LeMans”. I hope like hell that AF CORSE in the WEC gets its pace back they showed at Silverstone and Spa, if they do, the Ford’s will get beat. Wonder how things would have played out at LeMans had AF CORSE not had that very uncharacteristically bad showing at LeMans. I cannot wait for next year, but the new Porsche 911 will be out and no doubt they will get the favorable BoP and in 2018 it will be the new mid-engined Vettes, but if you’ll notice that thru it all, the Ferrari is always right there no matter who has a new car out…Ferrari is only second to Porsche in LeMans wins with 15 dating back to 1946…you Vettes got 15 LeMans wins?…
