[PICS] Rare Corvettes on Display at the 2016 Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance

Last Sunday down in South Florida was the 10th Annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance held at the famous Boca Raton Resort & Club. Thanks to our friend Don Smith for allowing us to share his photos from the event which featured several significant and rare Corvettes.

One of the Corvettes on display was the 1967 L88 Corvette Sting Ray that set the record $3.85 million selling price at Barrett-Jackson’s 2014 auction. The 1967 Corvette is the only known Red/Red L88 produced and is both highly documented and features multiple NCRS Top Flight awards and the NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence.

Another rare Corvette to be displayed on the golf course at the Boca Raton Resort and Club is the earliest known C3 Corvette to exist. This 1968 Corvette Coupe is a rare factory pilot car wearing the VIN #002. The Corvette is powered by a 327/350 matching numbers V8 and is shown in the one-year-only color of Corvette Bronze with Dark Orange Interior.

Some other significant Corvettes on display at Boca Raton was a Black 1963 Split Window Fuelie, a red 1955 Roadster, a blue 1972 LT-1, and a 1967 Corvette Sting Ray as well as a few others. Any one of these could be the centerpiece of a nice Corvette collection. Which would you choose?
