Jordan Taylor’s Idea of a Perfect First Date

Put Corvette racer Jordan Taylor behind the wheel of a race car and he is the consummate professional with a fierce drive to win. But race car drivers have a lot of downtime between races and so Jordan finds ways to entertain himself and those that follow him on social media.

Taylor is a fun guy to follow on twitter and instagram. From his #JTFacial pics of unsuspecting sleeping travelers and the occasional parking ratings he hands out, you’ll almost always be amused at what this guy comes up with next.

Yesterday, Jordan offered his idea of a perfect first date which includes his Nassau Blue 1965 Corvette Coupe. Without spoiling it any further (because I couldn’t do it justice if I tried), I’ll let him tell the story of how he see’s the perfect first date:

My idea of the perfect first date? I pick you up in my 1965 Corvette. I open the door for you, and as you enter the vehicle, you smell the beautiful aroma of a blueberry scone scented candle lit on the dashboard. We start our journey to dinner, a very well known establishment serving some of the countries best food. About halfway there, we encounter a mechanical problem with the car. It's a 50 year old car, it happens. Thankfully I packed some sandwiches and drinks with a blanket to sit on. We then have a spontaneous dinner under the stars, because who doesn't like spontaneity? (You don't have to answer that, it was a rhetorical question) As we're finishing up, we notice the car has caught on fire due to the blueberry scone scented candle. Seconds later the car explodes, and I roll over onto you to protect you from the flying debris. When it's all over, we open our eyes, lock them, and you say, "Oh my gosh, Jordan. You saved my life. I think I love you." I respond saying, "{Insert Name}, you may be in shock. That was my Corvette. I loved that Corvette, a part of my heart has just been lost. Will you fill that lost love?" You say yes, and we live happily ever after.
