[VIDEO] This is How Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin Arrived at the Geneva Motor Show

This week marked the start of the Geneva Motor Show and Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin was there to talk about the similarities of the new 2015 Corvette Z06 to his weekend office, Corvette Racing’s C7.R race car.

Gavin didn’t just show up at the show. He arrived in the manner befitting a four-time class winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Driving a Velocity Yellow Z06 through Geneva’s streets, he exits the car and hands the keys to the valet and looks to put the ticket in his pocket. The self-described “lanky British racing driver” is wearing his full race attire – fire suit, gloves, helmet and all – as he casually makes his way to the doors.

Corvette fans know of the strong bond between the racing program and the production cars and that the Corvette Z06 and C7.R were developed in tandem. So to have Oliver Gavin show up to talk about the Corvette Z06 in his racing suit helps to reinforce Corvette roots in racing to our European friends.
