Earlier this week the 1956 Corvette SR-2 that just went on the market for $6.885 Million made a promotional stop in Scottsdale, AZ. The former racer was on display at Scottsdale Sport and Classic Autocars for viewing before the start of the major auctions and it was the guest of honor at a reception help by Corvette Mike Vietro who is helping in the sale of the car.
Our friend Chris Draper, contributor to BadBoyVettes.com and admin of the Corvette Info Center website visited the car and has graciously allowed us to share these photos of the SR-2 from Scottsdale.
We asked Chris if the SR-2 looks like a $7 million Corvette in person and his said “It looks better than new, but I’m not sure about $7 million…” and he added “It certainly looked out of place with all the modern Ferraris Porsches and McLarens that were there.”
