Last night I watched Game 7 of the World Series which saw the San Francisco Giants crowned World Champions after a 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals. But the real action happened during the Chevrolet post game show when Chevrolet Zone Manager Rikk Wilde presented Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner with a Chevrolet Colorado. Rikk was very nervous during his presentation of the keys and the Washington Post describes his appearance as battling “a cardiac arrest”.
With his nervousness very apparent and repeatedly glancing at his notes, Wilde went off-script and stumbled upon the greatest Chevrolet tag line since “The Heartbeat of America” in describing the Colorado by saying “It combines class-winning and leading, um, you know, technology and stuff with, uh, WiFi powered by OnStar.”
Immediately, #TechnologyandStuff and #ChevyGuy were trending topics on twitter.
Here’s the video so you can see the painful delivery of the MVP Presentation of the Chevrolet Colorado:
Over the years, fans have come to expect the MVPs to be given a Corvette and they shared their disappointment once the Colorado was displayed:
If I were Bumgarner I'd be like "I just made World Series history and all I get is a Chevy Colorado?! Where's my Corvette, bitch?!"

A Chevy Colorado? Didn't they used to get a Corvette??? #TimesAreTough

the guys the mvp of the world series, give him a corvette not a colorado #worstmvptrophyever

A couple of fans noted that during the MLB All Star Game, Chevrolet allowed the MVP Mike Trout to choose between a Corvette Stigray or a full-size Silverado. Trout, of course, picked the Stingray.
For winning MVP of the All Star game, Mike Trout won a Corvette. #MadBum got a Chevy Colorado as WS MVP. Poor kid.

Trout got a Vette for the all-star MVP and Bumgarner gets a Colorado for the World Series MVP. Bumgarner got screwed. World Series>All-Star

And finally, back to Rikk Wilde. Rikk’s now-viral presentation has become more newsworthy in some respects than perhaps Bumgarner being named MVP and now everybody is talking about the Colorado with its technology and stuff. His personal twitter feed shows that he’s handling last night’s excursion into social media immortality with this tweet:
Real Funny, Guys. I get the joke. I was nervous. But, I didn't lie. The #ChevyColorado has great Stuff! #truth
