The Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia will be hosting a two day celebration of Corvette Racing next Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st. Special guest is Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan.
Fehan is a dynamic speaker and knows how to work a crowd so this should be a really fun event. Under Doug’s leadership, Corvette Racing grew to become a juggernaut in GT sport scar racing with 92 race victories, 10 team championships, 9 drivers championships and 7 class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The celebration of Corvette Racing begins on Friday, October 1st with a “Meet and Greet and Eat” party with Doug starting at 5:30 pm. Doug will recap the 2014 Corvette Racing season and will also autograph Corvette Racing posters for those that attend. Tickets to the Friday night party are $50 in advance or $65 at the door.
Then on Saturday, November 21st from 12 noon to 2:00 pm, the Simeone Automotive Museum will be hosting “Corvette Racing Legends Day” which will again have Doug Fehan as the featured speaker. Doug will share stories about the history of Corvette Racing and some personal stories about his own racing career.
Also on Saturday if the weather permits, the Simeone Auto Museum will bring out its original 1963 Grand Sport Roadster (chassis #002) for some laps in a “demonstration run” on their one-site 3 acre track.
Tickets for Saturday’s Corvette Racing Legends Day” are $12 and also include a tour of the Museum.
