NCM Motorsports Park Planning Inaugural High Performance Driving Event (HPDE)

The Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park has been busy booking events for the track once it opens over Labor Day weekend. One of the first driving events to be held at the new track will be hosting by the Corvette Museum and will give Corvette owners the opportunity to be among the first to drive the circuit.

The Corvette Museum is holding the HPDE over two, two-day sessions running on September 26th-27th and September 28-29th.

The event will have four student run groups: beginners, low intermediate, high intermediate and advanced. There will also be an instructor group. Classroom sessions will take place for HPDE, Touring, and PrimeDrive Groups. Touring laps are available for those who do not wish to participate in the complete HPDE school and/or for those with convertibles (roll bars are not needed for touring laps.)

Three full sessions are scheduled for September 26 and September 28. PrimeDrive is scheduled for the second day of the events on either September 27 or September 29. The Touring sessions will run with instructor/pace cars interspersed to maintain speeds and mark the correct track line.

The cost of the two day High Performance Driving Event at the new NCM Motorsports Park is $485 for NCM members and $525 for non-members, which also includes a 1 year discounted membership.

The Touring lap option is available for $120 for the first day of each session (September 26 and September 28) and $25 for guest touring. The Prime Drive offered on the second day of each session (September 27 or September 29) is $120. HPDE registration closes Friday, August 22, 2014 at 5:00 pm CT.

All attendees for HPDE and Touring, including instructors, students and passengers must register for the event. Spectators/guests who are not driving or riding do not register but will have to check in at the facility for a spectator wristband. If you need waitlist information or have any questions on the HPDE portion, please contact Karen Renfrow or Bryce Burklow at the NCM.
