Corvette Auction Preview: Mecum Dallas 2012

Mecum Auctions will offer roughly 165 Corvettes for sale this week as part of their 2nd annual Dallas auction. The event kicks off Wednesday, September 5th and runs through Saturday, September 8th. The venerable Velocity crew will have 18 hours of live auction coverage from the event. According to the Mecum website over 900 total cars are currently consigned and Corvettes make up almost 20% of the docket. Our list of Dallas favorites resides just beyond the Read More button below.

As usual the Corvette selections are diverse. All 6 genres of Corvette production are represented and, as expected, they range from original to restored, and stock to modified. Wednesday evening cars from the Hallbrook Collection will be traversing Mecum’s red carpet. The collection is made up of all makes and models and includes over 30 low mile, unrestored Corvettes. Most of the Hallbrook Corvettes have less than 5,000 miles on the clock.

Here’s how the Mecum Dallas consignments sort out by generation:

Generation No. of Corvettes
C1 35
C2 52
C3 50
C4 14
C5 5
C6 6
