Your emails to the American Le Mans Series nominating Corvette Racing’s program manager were answered and now Doug is one of five finalists for the coveted “From the Fans” award. Doug is currently running second in the voting so we need to get the word out to Corvette Racing fans everywhere to put him over the top.
The “From the Fans” award is presented to the individual or group who has made the most significant contribution to the Series or sports car racing on a global stage in the past year.
The final nominees for the “From the Fans” award are:
- John Doonan, Mazdaspeed Motorsports
- Lord Drayson, Drayson Racing owner
- Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing program manager
- John Hindhaugh and Radio Le Mans
- Greg Pickett, Muscle Milk Team CytoSport owner
Visit the American Le Mans Series to vote for Doug. Don’t put this off, voting closes as midnight on Sunday, September 19th.
The winner will be honored at the Series’ annual ‘Night of Champions’ banquet on October 2 at Chateau Elan, alongside the winner of the Most Popular Driver voting.
The final nine drivers include two Corvette C6.R pilots: Johnny O’Connell and Jan Magnussen. The other finalists are: Bill Auberlen, David Brabham, Luis Diaz, Andy Lally, Simon Pagenaud, Greg Pickett and Guy Smith.
