Marty's 1965 CorvetteYou Corvette owners know what its like to have Corvette Fever. You tend to live for the moments you get to spend in the drivers seat. Fun for you is spending a Saturday afternoon washing and waxing for the Sunday cruise you’ve been planning. When the Corvette gets sold, you start thinking about a replacement. Or perhaps you want the New/Classic combo. You realize that living without one is just not an option. Marty Klaus of Sunrise Beach also have the fever. So much so that since he bought his first Corvette in 1971 after retuning home from Vietnam, he has owned 212 Corvettes. Currently he has three Corvettes in his stable. Two fully restored 1965 Corvettes and a 1966 Corvette that is currently being restored and will be sold through his business, Klaus Classics. Marty also tells the story about how his future wife Peg visited a restoration shop he owned and was looking at a 1965 Convertible. Marty told her if she bought that car, “it would change her life”. She did and then later, all because of that Corvette, the two got married. Visit the LakeSunLeader.com to read the entire article.
