The opening of the new National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park is less than a year away.
To help with the construction of the park and develop overall plans for operations, the Museum has appointed a veteran in the industry, Mitch Wright, as general manager.
With Veteran’s Day just a week away, the National Corvette Museum is joining in the celebration in a big way with several special events as part of its annual “Military Appreciation Month” in November.
The National Corvette Museum has received its largest donation ever – a collection of 10 Corvettes in the Don Messner Collection.
Messner, who passed away in May from melanoma, wanted to inspire others to make similar donations in the future.
The new Corvette Stingray has been earning accolades from the press ever since it was unveiled earlier this year.
It’s only natural that the General Motors Assembly Plant in Bowling Green where America’s Sports Car has been built since 1981 would share in that glory, too.
Earlier this month the Bowling Green Assembly Plant was named Manufacturer of the Year by the Kentucky Association for Manufacturers (KAM) at the 2013 KAM Manufacturer and Employee of the Year Awards ceremony.

This day has been a long time coming for Nick George.
Now in his 30s, George started saving for a Corvette when he was just 5 years old. That dedication to Chevrolet’s sports car was rewarded today when he and his wife, Valerie, became the first customers to take delivery of a new Stingray at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.
