One of the things I love about Corvettes is that you can learn something new every day about them as well as how they fit it to all different niches of America’s car culture in general. For me, today’s lesson comes from the term “Murdered Out” which the Urban Dictionary describes as a vehicle that is black with black wheels and looks very intimidating. So I think you’ll agree this 2004 Matte-Black Corvette Z06 easily fits that description.
The seller has made numerous upgrades and modifications to the Corvette, but the LS5 405 hp V8 engine is completely stock with just 30,000 miles on it. The upgrades included a new aluminum flywheel, twin-disc performance clutch and an RMP stage 3 transmission which the seller calls bullet-proof. Other options include a 4-point roll bar, wide body fenders, black powder coated Z06 wheels and Goodyear F1 tires.
The seller doesn’t specify whether the car is painted or wrapped, but that matte-black look is so clean looking. As of this posting, the eBay auction has nearly 5 days to go and so far nobody has bidded on the Z06. The opening bid of $27,500 is higher than most C5 Z06s on the market but I think we’ll agree there is nothing average about this “Murdered Out” Matte-Black Corvette Z06.
