Photos of the 2008 5-spoke wheel and exhaust have found their way to CorvetteConti.com. The 5-spoke wheel is one of four designs for the 2008 model year. This 5-spoke wheel will join the other wheel design that we speculated would be a 2008 option: The split 5-spoke wheel featured on the 2007 Indy 500 Pace Car replica. The exhaust photo is interesting in that it appears to be a Z06 exhaust setup on a regular Corvette coupe. The Z06 exhaust uses a butterfly valve that opens at higher RPM’s, so under normal driving only two of the four exhaust ports are open. This is the first I’ve heard of the Z06 exhaust migrating to the rest of the Corvette line.

The New Split spoke wheel I mentioned in January, the split spoke now appears to be only on the Silver and Comp grey wheels. The other wheels, QG7 (high polsihed) & QX3 (chrome) will not be the split spoke.
This could get very confusing, but I promise we will keep you up to date. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I will be on location at the birthday bash and press event April 26-28th! It’s nice to work for a dealer that wants you to be involved with the Corvette community!
No info yet on the 4LT and 3LZ pkgs, so hang in there guys.

Thanks for the update, Rick. BTW, what is deal with the Z06 exhaust? Are they offering it as either standard or optional on the Coupe and Convertible?
