Chevrolet did a fantastic job designing and engineering the aerodynamics of the C7 Corvette but some of the factory pieces like the front wheel splats are just textured plastic and leave us wanting more. When you want to replace some of those factory bits with those that have been painted in Carbon Flash (black) or made in real Carbon Fiber, many Corvette owners have turned to our friends at ACS Composite.

Mecum’s 3,000 plus car mega-auction kicked off earlier this week in Kissimmee, Florida. With well over 300 Corvettes on the docket, there’s no shortage of high-end cars to be had. Check out this super rare 1972 ZR1 with just 307 miles on it. Yes, just 307 miles since new.

The ZR1 option package made its way on to just 20 Corvettes in 1972. It was essentially a small block race car for the street.

You may be looking at the world’s only front-wheel drive Corvette.

Back in the mid-1980s, an engineer named John Jacobi loved Corvettes so much that he wanted to be able to drive the car in the cold weather he had to endure up north.

Naturally, he decided front-wheel drive was the way to go, so he set about finding a 1979 Cadillac El Dorado chassis and modifying it so that a standard 1979 Corvette body could be set atop it.

New 2020 Corvette Stingray Model Codes Revealed


Since the introduction of the C7, GM has used the same two internal model codes to specify the base C7 Stingray Coupes and Convertibles. The current Stingray model codes are 1YY07 (Coupe) and 1YY67 (Convertible). The model code is used in all aspects of the car’s production, and you can find the code listed on documentation including window stickers, build sheets and the RPO tag.
