First pole at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for GTLM Championship co-leader

BRASELTON, Ga. (Oct. 16, 2020) – Corvette Racing’s Antonio Garcia captured pole position at Petit Le Mans on Friday with the fastest time in GT Le Mans (GTLM) during qualifying for the 10-hour race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta – his first at the circuit.

Even without cracking into the as-yet uncrackable engine control module, tuners are finding ways to increase the performance of the new mid-engine Corvette.

The latest example is a little different in its nature, though. Whereas LG and Kooks have previously announced new exhaust systems, Lingenfelter is teasing a fully carbon fiber intake manifold sourced from Performance Design for the C8 Corvette.

In a video sure to make all 8th grade science students green with envy, Randy “The Rocket” begins his science fair project with the scientific question, “How do cheap tires affect the performance of a Corvette?” To begin, the always cheery Pobst does a walkaround on the Blade Silver Z51 Corvette that Motor Trend brought along for the experiment which is highlighted by his calling the LT2 a Christmas ham.
