Corvette Museum Celebrates 10th Anniversary

January 6th marks the 10th anniversary of a major milestone for both Corvette and the Corvette Museum. At a time when the Museum was in default on its loan covenants, and was facing potential foreclosure, Chevrolet introduced the new C5 Corvette on January 6th, 1997 and the Museum was selected to be a satellite location for the special viewing. Over 200 Corvette enthusiasts came to be a part of the unveiling event, and each paid a $25 admission fee, purchased merchandise in the Corvette Store, bid on auction items donated to the Museum, and enjoyed the day touring the Museum. This event provided not only some much needed revenue for the Museum, but truly marked a turning point for us because of the enthusiasm and new found excitement for the Museum.
