Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Not many Corvette salesman live the lifestyle they promote, but you’ll often find Mike at a Corvette gathering on his days off, as some of the photos below show. ~Corvettes at Carlisle Event is this week, and I will be on-site Wednesday afternoon the 24th through Saturday afternoon the 27th. Look for me with my 70th Anniversary edition 2023 Pearl white Corvette convertible on display at the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Tent just next to the GM tent and across from the Corvette Museum store tent on the Midway infield.

~Mindy F. of Gaithersburg, Maryland last ordered a C7 from me and she gifted it to her brother as that had been a life long dream for him that she made come true. Today she took delivery of a new Hypersonic Gray 2023 Corvette coupe with Sky cool gray interior and 2LT pkg. She enjoyed hearing the engine rumble at first start.

~ Sometime around Spring 2012 Frank called me up from his home in Harrisburg, PA and he stated he had owned 50 Corvettes since he bought his first new one in 1957(Which he still owned). He followed me on the forums and loved my delivery pictures and especially appreciated and enjoyed the old Corvette pics I posted. Frank said he was calling me to buy his last new Corvette. So we made an appointment and he traveled the 105 miles South to Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, MD to pick out and drive home his last new Corvette. Well Frank bought his so called last Corvette from me every Spring for 5 straight years! The June after he drove home in his last of 5 last Corvettes I received a phone call from his daughter whom I had never met or spoke with. She said that Frank had passed away and my name and number were in his final paperwork as “the name” to call to help liquidate his collection…of over 75 cars he had stored in the family barn on his estate! Hence the reason I dubbed this section, The Frank Class Corvette Barn find and throwback section. Frank’s last name fit him well as he was all class and I miss speaking with him tremendously. My Grandfathers passed before I was born and my own Father has been gone well over 25 years, if I could pick out my Grandfather, Frank would be the one I wish I could learn from at the fence post …casually learning and listening as we spoke.

My favorite is the pic of the two Mako Sharks.
My fave is the one from “Leave It To Beaver” with Wally Cleaver and Eddie Haskell in the yard beside the ’58 Fuelie Corvette.
