The day that Corvette enthusiasts have been waiting for has finally arrived! GM has released the starting MSRP for the 2023 Corvette Z06 and America’s newest supercar will start at $106,395 for the Coupe and $113,895 for the Convertible. Those prices include the destination freight charge of $1,395.

The other good news we got from Chevrolet has to do with ordering and customers will be able to order their Z06s starting on July 28th.

There are three trim levels for the Corvette Z06 just as there are for the C8 Stingray. Buyers will be able to choose between the 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ trim packages. Those starting prices are:

Z06 Coupe:
1LZ: $106,395
2LZ: $115,595
3LZ: $120,245

Z06 Convertible:
1LZ: $113,895
2LZ: $122,595
3LZ: $127,245

We know that the interest is high in several of the performance options. The Z06’s Z07 Performance Package will add $8,995 to the price. The Z07 package includes FE7 suspension, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Cup 2R ZP tires, and underbody strakes. It also requires the additional Carbon Aero Package with either Visible or Carbon Flash Painted components. Those packages will start at $8,495 for the carbon flash metallic versions, while the visible carbon fiber is listed at $10,495.

The other major option specific to the Z06 is the carbon fiber wheels from Carbon Revolution. The carbon flash metallic wheels are priced at $9,995 while the visible carbon fiber wheels are priced at $11,995. These wheels deliver a 41-pound reduction in unsprung mass, and the team says you can feel the difference between driving the car with the carbon fiber wheels vs the forged aluminum wheels.

We just ran the math and the base Z07 package will cost you $123,885 for the 1LZ Coupe with Carbon Flash Metallic aero. The max price for the Convertible model with the 3LZ trim package, Z07, visible carbon fiber aero and visible carbon fiber wheels will start at $158,730!

I just got the full pricing list for the Z06 Corvette and will highlight some of the additional options here:

E60 – Front Lift – $2,595
J57 – Carbon Ceramic Brakes – $8,495
5DH – Satin Graphite Spider Wheels with Red Stripe (dealer-installed) – $3,595
5DK – Tech Bronze Spider Wheels (dealer-installed) – $3,795
SOA – Spider Design Black Forged Wheels – $495
SOC – Spider Design Satin Graphite Wheels – $495
SOD – Spider Design Machined Face Wheels – $1,495
CFV – Carbon Fiber Visible Ground Effects – $3,995
CFZ – Carbon Flash Ground Effects – $2,995
BAZ – Stealth Interior Trim Package – $595
FA5 – Interior Dash Carbon Fiber Level 1 – $1,500
FA6 – Carbon Fiber Interior Level 2 – $4,995

I did see that we are also waiting on the gas guzzler tax as well.

We’re also still waiting for the Z06’s Order Guide, and I have a sneaky suspicion that it may drop over the weekend or the first of next week.

Stay tuned to CorvetteBlogger as we’ll be adding to this thread as information is analyzed and updated.

  1. Well, not too far off historical prediction.

The most important question, however, lies with how fast Princess Emelia will get hers…

  2. After dealers adjust the pricing you will probably be paying an extra $100,000 for a Z06. Too much money for a Z06. Maybe the ZR1 or the ZORA will cost as much as a Ford GT at half a million dollars. Sadly the Corvette is no longer an affordable sports car for most buyers.

  3. Good to see GM taking the ADM for themselves. Gonna be hard to scalp this thing if it’s already priced at the border of sanity.

  4. Put in a bunch of options and $150K is easy to reach. Then add gas guzzler tax, 5% sales tax plus tags and dealer fees and you’ar at $160-165K. ADM will take it to close to $200K. Now you’re up against the hi buck Porsches and low end Ferraris. Crazy! Just crazy!

  5. I like my cars to cost me what it will do top-end in MPH x 1,000… LoL!!! Can’t wait to have a Z06 added to my stable. YOLO! 😉

  6. WOW, $150,000.00 w/ADM do I really want to spend that much? I think those dealer Z06 order lists just got a lot shorter.

  7. I can afford the top dollar vette, but why. The dealer l bought my new 2022 vette gave me the option to let my deposit ride for the Z06 but he said it’s just a status symbol. I have to agree with him. You can’t drive it on the street all out and how many of us really are going to the track all that often. Hell, l can’t drive my vette all out and l might go to the track once or, at the most twice. I do know that running the tollroads it will shit and get really quickly.

  8. mr sartain , good post…..the c8 is more than enuf for me and , the best performance car i have owned

  9. Mind blowing…. The fact a nicely optioned car will run almost 200k by the time its out the door with tags and taxes.. Unfortunately, my 19 C7 GS will be my last vette I’ll purchase.. For that type of money I will purchase a lease return 911..

  10. Wellcome to the age of the Porschevette or the Corferrari!

Can’t wait for the price on the ZR1 and the Zora Vette.

  11. Gm has really gone overboard with the base price of the z06 restricting it to the very well to do especially since all the dealers are selling at msrp or more.Very disappointing

  12. A couple years ago GM was bragging on how low the base price of the C8 was, not bragging no more. So just considering the base price GM is saying the Z06 has $40,800 worth of changes when compared to the Stingray. It even seems they jacked up the pricing on the options too.

I’m still interested in the Z06 (in 2-3years), but this pricing has opened the door for a few others in case I change my mind.

  13. Wow this is a huge jump up from a base stingray. Yes GM is charging what the market will bear! You will need deep pockets to get one of these. Makes the base C8 a real bargain which we already knew!

  14. WOW

WILL THE BASE CAR DO O-60 IN 2.6 SEC. AND 10.6 SEC. IN A 1/4 MILE ?
    LET’S SEE THE ROAD TESTS

    AL

  15. Brought to you by the company that got a bail out and the debt was forgiven by Barry Sotero. Too big to fail Hope there are no issues with the car like broken valve springs, frunks, leaking transmissions, bad wheels, and no way to get in if you are locked out without cutting a hole. Oh I forgot that GM saved $50 having no lock cylinder.

  16. I cannot believe we live in a world today where the Corvette is no longer the “middle class sports car”. Now only the rich can afford to drive it. Don’t get me wrong, I can afford it all day long but I refuse to pay that amount for a Corvette. GM has lost their minds and I honestly believe they just lost at least half their buyers with most believing the Z06 would start out in the mid $80’s. Best of lick to those who end up with one. Maybe I’ll pick up a used one later down the road from a non-GM dealer.

  17. Clearly, GM is capitalizing on the “market adjustment” factor that they have been berating dealers for.

  18. Well, GM led you to believe that the Z06 would still within your reach, then screwed you in the butt! The only thing different that you will be paying for is a new engine. Cosmetic on the body work! Worth the 40K increase? People say it is not an exotic car! True. An American Dream! Not no more! I can afford it but do I want to spend for an overpriced car. Porsche, Ford GT500, Raptor and the Ram TRX is looking good. I will pass and look elsewhere. Thank you GM

  19. Lots of chatter ref the price; but let’s keep in mind the Z06’s competition, a 2022 Porsche GT3 will cost you more than double the price at ~$330K, and that’s a used version.
Many of us asked for the performance the Z06 offers and Chevrolet has delivered. I have no crystal ball, but for the 2023 Z06, I bet they sell every one they build at or above MSRP. If it’s more then you want to spend for whatever reasons…the C8, new or used is an outstanding alternative and by no means is slouch on the track or street. 😉

  20. IT IS A TRULY SAD DAY IN AMERICA WHEN A NEW CORVETTE MODEL IS BEING INTRODUCED TO MILLIONS OF CORVETTE FANS, LIKE ALL OF YOU HERE ON THIS BLOG AND ACROSS THE WORLD, THAT WILL COST ALMOST DOUBLE THAN THE PREVIOUS CORVETTE MODELS, WILL BE SOLD TO JUST THE FEW WITH THE NECESSARY SPENDABLE INCOME LEVELS AND BECOME THE NEW CORVETTE THAT EVERYBODY WANTS TO OWN BUT CAN NO LONGER AFFORD WITH THIS NEW PRICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

WHEN DID MS. MARY BARRA AND MARK REUSS DECIDE THAT CHEVROLET WILL MATCH THE COSTS OF A NEW PORSCHE 911 CARRERA BASE COUPE (WITHOUT THE PORSCHE QUALITY NOR DEALERS EXPERTISE) BY STARTING THE BASE 1LZ COUPE Z06 AT $105,000 PLUS THAT OBSCENE TRUCKING COST OF $ 1,395 PLUS MULTIPLE THOUSANDS OF MORE DOLLARS FOR ALL THE GOOD STUFF YOU WANT ON YOUR SUPERCAR Z06?

THE 2022 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA BASE COUPE IS $101,200 PLUS THEIR DESTINATION OF $1,350 (COMING OVER FROM GERMANY ON SHIPS, THEN DELIVERED TO THE DEALER IN THE U.S.) FOR A TOTAL OF $102,550.

IT’S A DAMN SHAME THAT ALL NEW Z06 CORVETTES WILL NOW SIT AND AGE IN SOMEONE’S GARAGE, THEN SHOW UP AT BARRETT-JACKSON, AS THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR NORMAL DAILY DRIVING NEEDS.

SO, CONGRATULATIONS TO MS. BARRA AND MR. REUSS FOR PRICING THE GREATEST CORVETTE SO FAR IN 70 YEARS SO FAR OUT INTO SPACE THAT NO ONE WILL BUY IT.

LINGENFELTER PERFORMANCE HAD BETTER GET RAMPED UP FOR THEIR 705 HORSEPOWER STINGRAY SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM AS THAT WILL BECOME THE PERFORMANCE BARGAIN FOR THIS GENERATION OF CORVETTES.
    THANKS FOR LISTENING.

  21. The people who complaining, just buy the base Vette, if you don’t have the money for the Z06???

  22. I love the car. Got on a waiting list at nearby dealer – first time I’ve ever done that.
But with this pricing, even with $0 ADM, I’ve lost interest. And I haven’t been this excited about a new car in…forever.

  23. What a sad day, in Corvette History. Seems they are following the Harley Davidson Business style of the 2000’s. We see where that got them, priced right out of the market.
And now inflation rears its ugly head, as well. Good luck Chevy.

  24. Appreciate the pricing from this author! The $106k base is misleading since you have to add another $5k+ for GGT. Genuinely feel sorry for all those on MSRP waiting list’s expecting something $30k less! Talked with my dealer yesterday who relayed only 3 buyers dropped off ZO6 list thus far, however, my feeling is many more will bail over next few weeks/months.

  25. Jeffrey, the Porshe 992 Carrera is $106,200 not $101,200 plus $1350 for destination. Don’t forget to add ADM dealer fees.

  26. Harry, the gas tax has not been settled as of this date. That 5K number is just a place holder until the real amount is tabulated. I’m guessing the tax will fall in the area of 2-3K.

  27. Ron Retired, I’d also add that the 992 Carrera’s performance specs fall well short of the Z06. Clearly, one would need to step up to a 992 GT3 at nearly double the price of a highly optioned Z06 to be considered competitive. I’m looking forward to Road&Track’s comparison between the two super cars (GT3/Z06), as Chevrolet and Porsche have battled for decades over the sports car crown!!!

  28. HEY THERE RON RETIRED AND JOHN BELK, THANKS FOR THE REPLY,
ACCORDING TO NADA PRICING GUIDES –
    https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2022/Porsche/911/Carrera-Coupe/Pricing
THE 2022 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA COUPE BASE PRICE IS:

    Pricing & Cost Details
    Invoice MSRP
    Base Price N/A $101,200
    Destination Fee N/A $1,350
    Total Base Price N/A $102,550

IN MY OPINION, THE NEW 2023 CORVETTE Z06 WILL BE COMPARED TO THE 2022 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA BASE COUPE SIMPLY DUE TO ALMOST MATCHING BASE MODEL COSTS. AFTER YOU ADD ALL CHEVROLET OPTIONS, I.E. 2LZ, 3LZ, CARBON FIBER EVERYTHING, WINGS, C.F. WHEELS/BRAKES, AND MORE TO THIS BASE 1LZ COUPE Z06 PRICE APPROACHING $180,000 OR MORE, THE OTHER PORSCHE 911 MODELS WILL BE EVEN MORE OF A MATCH TO YOUR DESIRED Z06 SIMPLY BASED ON THE NEW GREED FROM CHEVROLET.

A NEW ERA OF CHEVROLET VERSUS PORSCHE HAS NOW STARTED, AND THIS TIME PORSCHE WILL BE THE WINNER DUE TO THE Z06 BEING WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.

THE Z06 IS STILL A CHEVROLET, SOLD AT CHEVROLET DEALERS, SERVICE AND WARRANTY BY UNTRAINED CHEVROLET TECHNICIANS AND WILL PROVE TO BE NO LONGER AN AFFORDABLE CORVETTE!
