Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for March 13th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It was a fun week for Mike as well as his customers who are seen in the photos below picking up their new dream Corvettes at the Maryland dealership, the National Corvette Museum, and even in the driveways of their own homes. Also this week, Mike catches up with a former NBA star and fellow Terrapin graduate and he shares photos of a really, really cool gift he got for helping out a customer. Finally, Mike has put together a fun collection of throwbacks and vintage photos so scroll to the end and then leave a comment telling us your favorite for the week!

~I received an incredible gift Friday in the mail from Doug Fehan. Check out his Race suit from the 2016 season. Doug and I first met at the 2011 24 hrs of Lemans race. Last Spring we enjoyed a round of Golf together in Bowling Green, KY with Kirk Bennion and a Corvette friend/customer of mine Ken Gray. Doug appreciates all that I do for the National Corvette Museum hence todays pkg! “Doug Fehan led Corvette Racing to 14 team championships, 13 manufacturers and drivers championships and 113 race wins in more than two decades as the team’s program director.” Doug is currently the Brand Ambassador and does a fantastic job. ~Buck Williams played Basketball at Univ of Maryland when I wrestled for the Univ of Maryland Terps. He gets his truck serviced at Criswell Chevrolet so we took a quick picture and talked about the old days in the ACC. He also played ball with an old high school friend of mine, John Bilney. Buck is still close with John and got a good laugh remembering the past. In the NBA… “Forward Buck Williams played 17 seasons for 3 teams. His career averages were 12.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 1,307 regular season games. Williams was selected to play in 3 All-Star Games.”

~James and Jana A. of Clinton TWP, Michigan found me on the internet when they bought their Shadow gray 2019 GS Convt and traded in their shark gray 2015 Z51 Convt. This time they factory ordered a Red Mist 2022 Corvette convertible and took delivery this past week at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. As luck would have it their new Corvette was built while they were vacationing in South Carolina so we fed ex’d the paperwork to their vacation spot in South Carolina and registered the Corvette in Michigan while they took delivery in Kentucky of the Corvette they bought from me in Maryland! Some people don’t understand the importance of experience to pull this type of transaction off but Jim and Jana do and they will also join me in October out at Spring Mountain race track for the Corvette Furman driving school just like they did a few years ago. Equipment list: 3LT, CF painted Nacelles/roof, front lift, CF instrument cluster, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, spectra gray wheels, low rear spoiler, black interior with red stitching and much more. Two of the finest folks you could ever meet and I’m glad I will see them three more times this year. Corvette Bash in late April at the Museum in KY, Also at the Carlisle, PA event and in Nevada in October. Ask Jim the story if you ever run into him about how he ran into my Maryland golf friends down in Florida!!! Hilarious coincidence.

~Gary W. of Darien, Connecticut has owned two other Corvettes and he wanted his new C8 to mirror his old C3 so he ordered Silver Flare with Adrenaline Red interior! His daughter Caroline lives in Baltimore so he met up with her for lunch and then drove away in his new Corvette. Both will join me in October at the Corvette school in Pahrump, Nevada. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, front lift, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, torch red seat belts, CF painted wheels, and edge red engine cover. You don’t get much better of a father/daughter moment(s)!

~Robert R. of Charleston, South Carolina hopped on a short flight this week and arrived at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, Maryland an hour early and ready to drive! Robert factory ordered an Arctic White 2022 Corvette Convertible with Natural interior and he was thrilled with his decision. Robert’s only other Corvette was a 1977 coupe! 2022 Corvette Convt Equipment list: 2LT, GT2 buckets, CF painted Nacelles/Roof, front lift, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, performance exhaust, low rear spoiler and much more. Robert had about a 550 mile drive home, just enough to break it in.

~Eric T. of Southern Virginia had his Rapid Blue 2022 Corvette convertible picked up today by Plycar trucking for enclose trailer delivery to his Bonita Springs, Florida home. Next stop…ceramic coating etc and then some time behind the wheel for Eric and family.

~Peter C. of Arcadia, California didn’t let the 2,650 miles between us stop him from ordering his new Silver Flare 2022 Corvette Z51 Convertible from me. I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealership in Chino, CA. Equipment list: 2LT, Sky cool gray interior, CF Nacelles/roof, front lift, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, Z51pkg.

~Rene and Terry D. of Orlando, Florida factory ordered their Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette Z51 coupe from to take delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. This week was delivery day and the red carpet was certainly rolled out for them. Fully loaded with most every option possible. Give them a big Corvette wave if you see them driving their new 8th generation Corvette!

~John H. of Freeland, Washington factory ordered his new Red Mist 2022 Z51 coupe from me and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealership in Seattle, Washington. John took delivery the other day and couldn’t be happier. Email received “Mike

Take a look at the pictures, Friday 61 degrees and Sunny and yesterday 36 degrees and snowy! Equipment list: 3LT, and the Black Trident wheels. Harsha wrote me an email thrilled with the whole experience that I provided him and is thrilled with his choices on his new Corvette.
