Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Many of the new Corvette deliveries that are done for Mike’s customers take place at the National Corvette Museum as part of the R8C Museum Delivery service and we get a nice download featuring many photos of new owners picking up their new Corvettes in Bowling Green. One of the more special deliveries featured two brothers picking up their cars together at the NCM and it was documented with a drone! This week’s deliveries covers the USA to many states, and just like folks live in different climates, people order different color combos, stripes and wheels etc… It’s their choice where to reside and it’s most certainly their choice of what to order and how to drive their Corvette. Many folks keep their Corvettes stock and then there are those that start changing items right away. The common phrase back in time was to call that car a "Day 2" car. To each his/her own, it’s their car. I always post up a Corvette barn find and throwback section and as you can see, those cars got used and modified over time because they were everyday cars/transportation. Have fun with your Corvette any way you see fit. The wait is worth it because the 8th generation Corvette is a world class sports car. I always say that Corvettes are not for the shy…save the wave.
~As for the 2023 C8 Z06…My estimate is much like GM has been stating all along…you won’t see the first 2023 Z06 delivered until very late Summer ’22 at the very earliest. If you have your name on a list then you must have patience as that is required. No reason to email or call, when your allocation comes up is when the process starts. This is my 44th year selling Corvettes so I don’t require multiple reminder emails or calls. That just slows me down for the folks that are currently ordering C8’s or taking delivery.

~Brothers…sequential builds…Corvette Museum delivery same day…this past Thursday! Mark/Meghan T. of Home, Pennsylvania and Brad/Tracy of Slippery Rock, PA factory ordered their 2022 Corvette Convertibles together and wanted to do Museum delivery so as luck would have it (the harder I work the luckier I get) …Their new Corvettes were built sequentially. Vin 15196 for Brad and vin 15197 for Mark. Mark ordered a loaded up Accelerate Yellow 2022 Corvette Convt with Adrenaline Red interior and brother Brad ordered an Amplify Orange 2022 Corvette Z51 Convt loaded up. ~Andy and Betty P. of Fountain Hills, Arizona are two fine folks that knew what they wanted and they leaned towards as many options as possible for their special order Silver Flare/Adrenaline Red 2022 Corvette Convt. These wonderful folks ordered 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, body color accents, chrome badges, front lift, magnetic ride, CF instrument panel, bright red calipers, performance exhaust, contoured liner pkg, battery maintainer, premium indoor car cover, chrome wheel locks, premium floor mats, and torch red seat belts. Give them a big wave if you see them on the Arizona highway!
~My customer Dave from Islamorada, Florida took Museum delivery with his best friend Chris last week in Bowling Green, KY and documented the outside experience in this really cool drone video. Well worth watching (33 seconds) especially if you plan on taking delivery of your new Corvette at The National Corvette Museum, option code R8C.
~Mark W. of Smithtown, New York ordered his 2022 C8R Corvette Convertible not knowing the number, only 1000 built and I secured him #1000 in the special C8R series, the final IMSA GTLM championship C8R built! The paperwork/ payment process has been completed Plycar trucking enclose trucked it to his Long Island home. He sent an email "WOW!"
~Stan N. of Hagerstown, Maryland has owned 11 other Corvettes and this past week he made it an even Dozen as he took delivery of his new Elkhart Lake Blue 2022 Corvette Z51 Convertible. Check out the 3LT Sky cool gray interior, pure perfection. Equipment list : 3LT pkg, Z51, CF instrument panel, and Black Trident spoke Aluminum wheels. Stan was thrilled with his choices on Corvette #12 that he has owned.
~Robert P. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and I met at a Carlisle event a few years ago and today he took delivery of his new Red Mist 2022 Corvette Convertible with two tone Adrenaline Red/black interior. ~Guillermo T. of Chino Hills, California factory ordered his new Arctic White 2022 Corvette coupe from me and I drop shipped it to his local Chevrolet dealership in Montebello, California. Last week he took delivery and his delivery could not have gone any smoother. ~William L. of Lusby, Maryland took delivery of his 5th Corvette this week. Bill has owned a 1969, 1971, 1973, 2008 and this past week he drove away in his new Caffeine metallic 2022 Corvette Z51 convertible. His daughter Maya will certainly help out with putting some break in miles on this Stingray…top down of course. A mere 2,375 miles between us. Jack is no stranger to sports cars and Corvettes. ~Tom N. of Fargo, North Dakota factory ordered his Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette Coupe to arrive at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, Maryland so that our Corvette service techs could inspect before Plycar trucking enclose shipped it to his North Dakota home. 1,400 miles later it arrived in Fargo and Tom couldn’t be happier. While their truck had a hydraulic line break on the way here they were great at communicating with me on the small delay and my car arrived just fine. My Corvette is home and I’m just beginning to enjoy it. Traction is awesome as is the car! I have only put 100 miles on the car (we had a blizzard just after it arrived) but this car does not disappoint- I was a little worried that people wouldn’t give me the thumbs up like my old corvette, but there have been plenty of those already in just a 100 miles. I am having some ppf out on now and I’ll be putting more miles on it soon. One last thing, I am so impressed by your ability to deliver- there was a social post where a man was nervous about being on your list and not having a “number”. ~Brian M. of Oakton, Virginia factory ordered a Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette with two tone Red/Black interior and yesterday was delivery day. His first and only other Corvette was a 1988 Convertible…I advised him that this C8 generation will be slightly better than his C4 Corvette he previously owned.
