[VIDEO] Fan-Made Corvette Commercial Features a 1965 Roadster and a C8 Z51 Coupe

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that Chevrolet doesn’t do much TV advertising for the Chevrolet Corvette. And with the C8 now in its third year of production and sales showing no signs of slowing down, we really can’t blame GM’s notorious “bean counters” for the lack of on-screen promotion for its latest Plastic Fantastic.

However, that hasn’t stopped fans and enthusiasts from creating their own commercials to celebrate the Corvette, many of which we have featured here over the years. Today, we came across one that was very well done and it has a message worthy of sharing.

Titled “Driving the Human Legacy,” the spot starts with a female voiceover while the video shows an older gentleman raising the garage door and starting up a Nassau Blue 1965 Corvette Convertible. We then see a woman walking up and getting inside a Rapid Blue Corvette Stingray Coupe before the action heads outside to a two-lane road in the desert. The two cars are shown separately but then they come together in a dramatic conclusion. The voiceover continues throughout the video but there was one line in there that really struck home:

These moments exist because they were built decisively with intention…with care. They exist because a choice was made…a choice to go the extra mile, to push boundaries. And in that choice, a possibility is born that what is built today might shape tomorrow.

The video was created by professionals as a creative exercise to show some of what they are capable of, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the message. Give it a watch below, and if you like it, share it with your other Corvette friends so the message spreads far and wide!

From Monomyth Studio via YouTube:

An inspiration to generations of drivers, the Corvette Stingray is an enduring icon. As caretakers of the past and pioneers of the future, Chevy continues to shape the narrative of premium sports cars.

  1. Liked it… It could have been done better if it was worked to where the guy’s daughter or granddaughter is the woman who is in the C8. A generation thing.

  2. Love it! The kind of ad Chevy should be making! And how would you know that it’s NOT his granddaughter? Plus, I own a ’66 Roadster and a C8 coupe!!

  3. I love our C2 but, no comparison to our C8 and, the C2 has complete Ride Tech suspension, Wilwood brakes, electronic ign, aluminum radiator and cooling fan. Much better but, no C8, for sure!!

  4. I would be very interested in the complete history of the 1965 396 convertible, very interested!
