[VIDEO] Watch a 2019 Corvette ZR1 Run the Quarter Mile in 9.592 Seconds

Many years from now, we have no doubt that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 – produced for just one year – will be as revered as another one-year-only Corvette, the 1963 split window coupe.

Actually, though, respect for the most powerful model from the C7 generation is already here.

Helping to boost the ZR1 legend, however, is this particular Torch Red car, belonging to Instagram user @zr1.f80.

In this video posted on the Drag Racing and Car Stuff channel on YouTube, we get to see and hear some pretty impressive work from his ZR1 on the drag strip at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida.

The car’s modifications – which include replacement upper and lower supercharger pulleys and a Crawford Racing E85 fuel system – no doubt boost its output to way more than the 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque that it left the Bowling Green assembly plant with.

On the first run, this mighty ZR1 easily cracks the 10-second barrier with a time of 9.766 seconds at 146.48 mph.

A second try slices that time to 9.615 seconds at 147.86 mph, but a third run goes back up to 9.657 seconds at 146.57 mph.

That leaves one final run, and @zr1.f80 leaves the track with his best time of the night, a remarkable 9.592 seconds at 146.43 mph.
