The latest order cycle for the 2020 Corvette Stingray is now underway with dealers able to place another round of customer orders into the Chevrolet order bank.

According to our friends at Kerbeck Corvette, there are no constraints on any options or colors, and the big news is that dealers will also be able to place their first orders for the 2020 Stingray Convertible.

This is fantastic news for those that have been waiting to order the convertible, as well as not having any constraints at all! Dealers can also fill as many convertible orders as they have the allocation for this order cycle. So if they were given 10 cars for this cycle, all of them could be ordered as Convertibles.

Once these orders are accepted, we will then learn what the first Target Production Week (TPW) is for producing the convertibles. We’ve been hearing a time frame of early April but we’ll have some concrete answers in the next week or so.

Like the first coupes off the line, the Convertibles may be subject to a quality control hold to make sure everything is up to standards. So if the April production date holds true, the first Convertibles could be at dealers by May – just in time for the start of summer!

So if you have a 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible on order at your Chevy dealer, this could be your lucky week!

  1. Our Corvette club, uses the member’s convertibles for high school Home Comings. I just wondered with the C8 convertible, if there will be any room behind the seats for a Queen or Princess to sit, when the top is down?

  2. I had a order for the C8 coupe with Kerbeck , but since I couldn’t sit in it or test drive one I cancelled the order. Then I herd the convertible is out, still can’t sit or test drive. I have 2 C3 that are just for local driving, my C7 GS is great. Holds 2 people, 2 sets of golf clubs, plus enough luggage for a week trip. Do you think the C8 can take a week touring vacation or just a local run? No one knows or had the chance to do this. I understand it’s a mid engine and built for the younger generation, but they still live at home, and how long before they realize, it’s time for the minivan.
All the hype, but no car! Makes you wonder if you should wait till next year.
    !

  3. I sat in the C8 and I was not overly impress. It is a game changer for GM and I hope the C8 live up to the hype, because I have a deposit on a convertible. Also the car is too long, you do not need two trunks which make me feel like I was sitting in a Cadillac sport car.

  4. I have not sat in or have seen (in person) the 2020 Corvette…none the less, I just (January 14th) ordered a new Corvette Convertible in Orange! Ordered the LT2 and Z package as well, along with the black roof. Can’t freakin’ wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
