Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Nov. 3rd

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

In this week’s delivery report, Mike takes a moment to share some stories from veterans in advance of next week’s Veteran’s Day remembrance. Thanks for your service! Mike also calls out the Washington Nationals in celebration of their World Series victory. ~Now that the strike has ended GM has just posted new Target Production weeks (TPW’s) for the 2020 Mid Engine Corvette orders that were placed in September. I’d like to say they are set in stone as usual but we have one more week of C7 production and then the plant will retool. I’m sure the plans for said retool have been in the works for a long time. My 2019 Corvette inventory is down to about 85 new/15 used Corvettes in stock, call me for your best deal on a new or used Corvette. ~I am now in my 42nd year of selling Corvettes and ship Nationwide. One of the most common talks I have heard from customers after they have bought from someone else is that they wished they had bought from me! ~Next Monday, Nov 11th is Veterans Day so I had one of my Texas customers (Ford Guy) suggest I do Vets and their Vettes today in honor of all the Veterans. I received 100’s of emails and below are a few pics/stories.

I’m an Airforce vet, my father also a USAF veteran had an 84 Corvette while I was growing up. I had great memories of riding in his Vette. So a few weeks ago I purchased my first Corvette a 2004 Z06. Unknown to me, my brother also purchased a Corvette a 2017 Grandsport. Corvettes have been in our family and will continue to be. Tim Drury

Mike, the 2020 Corvette I have on order from you will be my ninth Corvette. It seems each time I get a ‘Vet it becomes my favorite one. I have owned a 1957 Convert, 1959 Convert, 1964 convert, 1967 Coupe, 1969 Convert, 1974 and 1975 Convert, and my current favorite, I-Kandy – picture enclosed, a 2014 LT3, Z51. Hello, Mike, I am 1bdvet on the CorvetteForum: I joined the US Air Force Dec 12, 1966, and separated Dec 31, 1990, I was a 43191E Aircraft Mechanic Stationed at Amarillo AFB Tx 1966 to 1967 Norton AFB Calif. from 1967 to 1970 Patrick AFB Fl. 1970 to 1972 Hickam AFB Hawaii 1972 to 1974 McGuire AFB NJ. 1974 to 1990 I started working on the C141 A&B Starlifter for 20 years and Aria Acft. EC135 out of Patrick & EC135 Airborne Command Post out of Hawaii. Sanford B. Lubell

Joined the Army in 1971 and got out in 1974. Served with 5th Infantry Pathfinders with a 11B1P Mos. Viet Nam War was winding down and I caught the rear end of it. We would go in and destroy the old wreckage of downed aircraft that the powers that be wanted to be destroyed. I am currently Vette less.

First time in a very long time as I sold my 2018 Z06. I am currently at 3000 for the 2020 C8. A BIG Thanks to all the Veterans out there. A Special Thanks to the Veterans of WWII, The Greatest Generation and the True Heroes of all wars who never made it home. Thanks. Robert Foster

I know you’re super busy with everything going on with the C8. I have wanted to take pictures of my corvettes and this week is perfect for Halloween. It is also easy to see how far back the engine set even in the C3 era. I still get a smile every time I drive either one. I just wanted to thank you again for my great ZO6. Ryan R. of Redlands, California recently bought his new 2019 Corvette Z06 from me and he had it Callaway Supercharged.

~How long have you owned your Corvette? This guy has owned his Corvette since he purchased it brand new in 1957! Bill Hatch purchased his new 1957 Corvette in July of 1957 and he still owns the car! So he has owned the car for 62 years, plus.

~The Washington Nationals won the World Series this week and Stephen Strasburg won a new 2020 Corvette as MVP…but I believe Adam Eaton may end up with it as a gift… which means Adam will remove his name from my C8 deal folder list.

Adam Eaton has always been a Corvette guy since he was 8yrs old.

Spotlight on one delivery this week.

~Mark M. of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey called me up this week as he was seeking his 3rd Corvette, he has owned a C3 and C6 and now a C7…and maybe down the road he will get a C8! He had seen on my Corvette dedicated web site www.corvettefurman.com that I had two 2019 GS Elkhart Lake Blue w/Red interior 1LT and 7spd manual transmissions in stock. He couldn’t find any near him so I gave him a sight-unseen trade value on his 2017 Volvo XC60 T5 and we made the deal. Today Mark drove down the 4hrs to take delivery and I had him turned around in less than an hour. This color combo is exactly what Mark was seeking and he definitely wanted the last of the manual transmissions.

The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and throwback section. When Frank passed away a few years ago he had owned over 50 new Corvettes, the last 5 of which he bought every year from me. In his inventory when he passed was his 1957 Corvette that he bought brand new!
