Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Oct 27th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

In this week’s delivery report, Mike shares his excitement in how he is preparing to take delivery of his own 2020 Corvette Stingray, and that means it’s time for a garage makeover! *Saturday night and doing my Sunday morning post…I will be off the grid Sunday through Tuesday and back in the office on Wednesday the 30th, at 9 am EST…

~As I have stated before I have owned 19 Corvettes and 44 Musclecars… the most I have owned at one time is 11, battery upkeep was hell. In today’s world for me, I have room for 1 Corvette in my two-car garage and from the very moment, the C8 was revealed I made a few decisions. The first decision was to sell my Marina Blue 67 Corvette Cpe and the second was to do a makeover on my garage. My 67 Corvette sold in about 5 minutes to a collector in Nebraska, the entire negotiation lasted 7 seconds while I was standing on the practice putting green one night. He wired the money the next morning most likely so I didn’t have time to change my mind which I never would have done. This past month I had the floor professionally painted with 100% Epoxy, Black/Gray/White decorative chips and then Polyaspartic polyurea on top. Lifetime warranty works well with me as I got tired of painting the floor every few years. The Michigan gals/friends/customers were in town so I had them assist me as I also pulled down everything off the walls and had the walls painted white. I received some items from Adam’s Polishes which I plan on putting up to help with the storage of my polishers etc. Then the final step was done this week as I had a new insulated Garage door installed. Our garage door was 23 yrs old and it was time…plus I hope to park my 2020 Corvette in the garage this coming year…which will be the 20th Corvette that I have owned.

~I received a visit today from Lou of Buffalo, NY. He was in town for a wedding and his Buffalo Corvette club members said that he has to stop in at Criswell and visit with me. Lou told me a great story about his C8 experience. He at first didn’t like it in pictures but his wife urged him to take an in-person view and see for himself…he walked away in awe of the 8th generation and ordered from his local dealer. Sold! Delivery next Fall.

~Two of my Corvette clients faced off against one another in the 2019 Baseball World Series. Verlander of the Astros vs Eaton of the Nationals.

~Arthur and Jacky B. of Springfield, Virginia contacted me this week about a 2019 Elkhart Lake Blue Grand Sport coupe from my inventory. Art came up to Criswell the other day and knew instantly that this GS would be Corvette #8 for him. Today they came in for delivery and Art couldn’t get the grin off his face. Equipment list: auto transmission, cf badge pkg, red calipers, black wheels, red seat belts, navigation /PDR and 2LT pkg.

My fellow Corvette Club members came in and picked up a new Ram Truck…Dave owns a 1996 Grand Sport.

GM-UAW Strike is officially over! Let the C7’s be completed and then the plant will re-tool for the 8th Generation Corvette. Stay tuned.
