Happy Monday, Corvette fans!
We are back for another exciting edition of Midyear Monday, our weekly image gallery featuring Corvettes built between 1963-1967.
For those that don’t know, there are actually two different theories on how the C2 Corvettes picked up the “Midyear” nickname. Some say it’s because the C2s were built during the middle 1960s with production spanning from 1963 to 1967, while others say the name came in vogue after the C3s were produced, with Midyears became the description of the generation in the middle of the C1 “solid axles” and the C3 “sharks”.
We’ve probably repeated both theories once or twice here. Heck, I’m so old I remember calling C4s “Late Models” and now we have three more generations on top of those with the C8s coming shortly.
This week’s image gallery is featuring 47 photos of “Midyear” Corvettes. Our featured image is a 1966 Sting Ray for sale from our Corvette classified ads website, VetteFinders.com. We also received photos from several readers which have also been included.
If you want to see your Midyear Corvette on Midyear Monday, send us your photos to [email protected] and we’ll add them to our archives for a future Midyear Monday gallery.
