Happy Monday, Corvette fans!
Over the weekend I was invited to an event at Bill Tower’s Museum in Plant City, Florida and I will have more on this event later this week. But as a quick set up, Bill has owned the #005 Corvette Grand Sport for 40 years and he had a celebration in honor of the milestone.
On Saturday, he opened his museum to the Grand Sport Registry and after it was over, Bill asked me and the NCM’s curator, Derek Moore, if we could help move the “lightweight” outside to the trailer. So we lead off with a couple of those photos for today’s Midyear Monday gallery!
It’s such an honor being around the legendary car and I joked that since I had actual “Grand Sport dirt” on my hands, how long should I go until I wash them?” The car’s fiberglass is so thin that you have to push it by the tires and door frame. We got it safely on the trailer and as mentioned, I’ll have more of this event coming up this week.
Today’s gallery features a great looking red 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe that’s for sale at VetteFinders.com and we have a couple pics submitted from you!
Want to see your Midyear Corvette on Midyear Monday? Send us some photos for a future gallery. You can send them over to me at [email protected] and we’ll add it to our archives.
