[VIDEO] SpyShotRenders Does the C8 2020 Mid-Engine Corvette

Here’s a new set of C8 Corvette renders that hit YouTube today from SpyShotRenders.

They took several of the spy photos from the C8 Corvette’s trip to the Nurburgring and then rendered them into what they might look like without the camouflage.

As the designer is talking through the renders, he points out various aspects of the car and what he sees. It’s a decent exercise and when you see the car from the rear, you can tell he was having fun doing it.

Here is the video from SpyShotRenders:

I like how the red exterior color for this render really sets it apart from the traffic behind it!

  1. I currently own a 2015 Z06 Corvette and love it. There is a bit of a Squirrley traction problem with it because of the brute horse power/torque.
My first Corvette was a 1958 in panama yellow and Chevrolet has done a marvelous job with the style transition throughout the years.
I am looking forward to owning one of the new weird engine I am looking forward to owning one of the new mid engine Vetts and hope that I am around by the time they go up for sale. I am 75 years old and in good health. Again, kudos to Chevrolet for allowing the Corvette to be developed the way it has been without shackling the designers, engineers and production teams with politics.

  2. The design is that of a Corvette, without a doubt. the sharp lines are consistent with the latest version C-8’s, but the overall layout is definitely a mid-engine Super Car. It appears wide like the Ferrari’s but still retains the Corvette look. The sloped front end really seems to offer that F-1 style, without too much aero looks. Those intakes on front and side are awesome and really would frighten any car in front, as if it could swallow it if it got too close, it looks great. Now I know there will be the Vette Purists who think it to be sacrilegious to place a powerful Chevy V-8 behind you, but it is a necessity of the new found power of these engines and their handling needs. It is the right place for the next Gen Corvette. and I love it.

  3. I love the front and sides of the C8 but the back of the car is much too boxed out,
You can talk all day about the lines but the rear is totally ugly.
I’ll keep my C7 Z06 and let the younger buyers have fun with the C8

  4. I would hope that after all the C7 discussions and requests for more driver side right leg/knee room that Corvette Engineering will please address the issue for the C8. I am 6’4″/225 with fairly long upper leg length and have (with the drivers seat all the way back and sensor adjusted for maximum distance) about 33″ from the right inner seat back (2LT) to the dash that gives me about 1/4″ clearance to the dash with my knee when on the pedal in my ’14 C7 Coupe. I do understand that the 1LT and the Comp. seat will allow more clearance, but that was not my desired option choice and I did not want to change just the drivers seat. I am very interested in a M.E. C8, but would not be if there is not more leg clearance for the driver. I have lost about 2″ of knee clearance from a ’01 C5 Cvt. to my C7 Coupe and I encourage other tall people with a similar issue will join in the discussion and hope that someone at Corvette would listen. I also have a ’65 Coupe and have at least 4-5″ of knee clearance to the dash. dt Ohio
