[GALLERY] Midyear Monday! (46 Corvette photos)

Happy Monday, Corvette fans!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I took my ’66 Corvette for a spirited drive on Saturday morning. It does get hot driving a black Convertible during the summer months here in Florida and I was quite warmed up by the time I got home…

For our family, this is officially our last week of summer vacation as the kids start school at the end of the week. Between that and the NFL preseason starting and I would say this is going to be a great week!! My kids say otherwise…

This week’s Midyear Monday photo gallery is featuring 46 Corvettes! The first two images (#1 and #46) comes from a fellow Floridian who has sent us images previously and these do not disappoint!

Want to see your Corvette in a future edition of Midyear Monday? Already been featured? Send us some new photos so we can share your pride and joy with the world! You can send them over to me at [email protected] and we’ll add it to our archives for future display.

  1. # 30. The ‘65 was arguably the cleanest, unadorned of the C2’s faithful to the original Shinoda design! Point for discussion: side pipes or not? That is the question.

  2. Stoddard Crane: Agreed! I don’t want to argue with Kenneth, but the 1967 is my favorite. The C3 was supposed to debut then, but was not ready, so they did everything they could think of to make the ’67 distinctive. In my opinion, the front fender gills canted forward at the top simply “make” the C2. I can’t explain it – perhaps it gives a perception of forward movement even when at rest, while the previous iterations are either standing or lying down – but whoever customized the #14 must agree with me, as he grafted the gills into a 1963. Also, the custom paint with perfect clear coat must have cost many thousands of dollars, as it looks like liquid, and puts the other cars to shame in that department. The turbine wheels, side pipes and wide tires finish it to perfection. The worst thing about those years was the skinny tires, reminiscent of a bodybuilder who builds an impressive upper body but never improves his skinny legs. Good job, #14 owner.
