Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of June 5th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

In this week’s Delivery Dispatch, Mike shares two cool Corvette delivery stories including the first Admiral Blue R8C delivery at the National Corvette Museum. The trucks keep bringing new Corvettes to Criswell and that means more photos of the outgoing Laguna Blue vs the new Admiral Blue.

~This week I doubled my Vette delivery’s with "other" deliveries. 10 "others" included Silverado’s, Nissan’s, Tahoe’s, Colorado’s and a Jeep to 5 Corvette deliveries. But I picked out the two best Corvette stories for some great pictures etc. You can follow my Corvette deliveries with live Video’s on my CorvetteFurman Facebook page. ~Stan C of Dallas, Oregon placed his Factory order with me for a 2016 Z06 Cpe in Shark Gray with Adrenaline Red Interior. I had it drop shipped to his local Oregon Chevrolet Dealer so that he could take Courtesy delivery of it on Friday. Stan has been a Corvette enthusiast since his very first Corvette back in the 1970 time frame. Stan’s new stage 2 Z06 is equipped with Carbon Flash Ground effects pkg, Visible carbon fiber roof panel, Carbon fiber instrument panel, 7 spd manual trans ,Spectra Gray wheels, Carbon Flash painted mirrors, and 3LZ pkg. Stan will enjoy his Dream Z that is for sure. The local dealer was kept informed of approx arrival time and they made Stan aware of it’s arrival so he could be there to see the throw away cover be removed.

~Scott S of Battle Creek, Michigan called at just the right time. I received two weeks worth of Admiral Blue allocations in April and Scott seized the moment to order a new 2016 Stingray…one of only 221 Admiral Blue Stingrays to be built for the 2016 model year. Scott has owned two Corvettes and both were Corvette Museum delivery, 2005 and this one just this past week which was the very first C7 in Admiral Blue to be Museum delivered!

In Scott’s own words…""This is crazy how much attention the car has gotten in the last week +. I thought it would be cool and was hoping it would be the first Admiral Blue museum delivery but didn’t think anybody else would really care. I took my girlfriend, mom and step dad to delivery. My step dad is a 40+ year master mechanic and still works at the dodge dealership in battle creek. He really enjoyed the plant tour. The last Museum delivery(2005) I did was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done and this time was even better."

First 2016 Admiral Blue Corvette Delivered ? National Corvette Museum

~Words from Harlan Charles about Admiral Blue- ~"Ordering for 2016 Corvettes is now complete and according to Chevrolet Corvette Product Marketing Manager Harlan Charles, they ended up with > 221 Admiral Blue 2016 Stingrays, and 115 Z06s.< “We are allowed up to three color changes per year, so Admiral Blue was our third color change for 2016. This then allowed us three more colors for the 2017 model year.” Harlan added that by offering the new color at the end of 2016 it helps stagger the new color introductions for the assembly plant work load."

~Another Sharp Shark Gray Z06 got delivered this week. 2016 is the last model year for Shark Gray.

~I get Corvette truckloads every week and this past week we received three full truckloads…I miss when they came uncovered for only one reason…it was great to see all the different colors on one truck. But it’s still cool to have this as my office view.

~Mobil 1 Executive sent me this really great two sided Plaque depicting the Three Big Race Wins in the past year. Only 60 were made and this is #59!!

~Many Customers dropped by yesterday and they will make their decisions this week. Many folks drive in from up to 4-5 hours away just to browse the inventory before deciding on Color combo etc…

Especially good to view Laguna Blue side by side with Admiral Blue (overcast day)

~Jim from West Virginia picked up his new Corvette two weeks ago and then visited the C7R at the Indy 500 Race so he sent me this picture.

~Paul from Virginia picked up his new Arctic White Z06 and has been making the rounds at some Cars and Coffee events.

~I need to get back to the Katie’s Cars and Coffee event in Falls Church, VA…one of these Saturdays!! Several hundred cars attend!
